HALOWED CANDY 1.6

It's been a hot minute since I worked on Hallowed Candy, I'm currently fixing it up across the board.
Being one of my first ever projects, the code is cursed and garbled mess. It's held together with dreams and promises. It's about time it had a freshen up and some expansions. 

UPDATE PLANS

Some of these are already done, but i'm going to list all the current updates happening here so you know what to expect from  the new version. 

IN PROGRESS/DONE

- Refactoring all code (general tidy and refresh of every system)
- Enemy collision code re-written to be more robust
- New enemies added
- Updated to 16:9 aspect ratio
- New background art
- New title screen art
- New music
- Sprite clean up
- Pause menu with options

ON THE SLATE

- New  playable character
- Local 2 player support
- New levels
- Bosses

We all know Pipkin (Left) but let me introduce Mallow! Another monster fighting spook! Want more challenge? Mallow is here! Rockin a hot Marshmallow gunk blaster to melt her foes! 
Mallow is slated to be a new playable character coming soon.

FINAL WORD

Essentially this new update will be utilizing the knowledge and skills I've gained since I first released Hallowed Candy back in 2018! That feels like a lifetime ago! I've learnt a lot since, and I've always loved Hallowed Candy for its simpleness. It's great fun to work on and has an unforgettable timeless charm.  This update is well underway and a lot of it is complete, it won't be long before its ready and on here for all to play!
