TILE-SET DESIGN

Creating a Dungeon
Working on the first dungeon tile-set, the game is going to be a top down dungeon explorer, so I want to have some tall walls, and interesting feature pieces. What we're looking at here is a BASE tile-set that will be used to construct the main map body of a dungeon. much more art and features will be added to fill out the environment with other scenery and destructible objects like tables, candles, statues, chests etc.
Intractable things like levers and doors will be separate objects with their own animations.
The lighting is neutral in the base tile-set with the goal to add post processing effects and lighting filters in the engine to add more atmosphere.
